The Halls
St Barnabas Church was originally a church plant over the road in what is now our Church Halls. Dating back to 1922, the halls retain much of their historic features but have also been renovated over the years to make them a great venue in the 21st Century. With access to a kitchen, two car parks and accessible toilets, the halls are well used by private bookings, community events and regular clubs and societies. It's location on the A38 makes it the perfect location, with easy access to Gloucester, Stroud, Cheltenham and the M5. The halls are very much a part of the church's history and the local community. We try to keep our prices as low as possible but we do need to make sure we can cover the heating bill!
We are currently updating our venue hire process and hope to be able to offer online booking soon. For now, please email office@stbarnabasgloucester.org.uk for all enquiries about booking the halls or church including hire costs.
Lambert Hall
The largest of the halls, Lambert Hall is named after Rev Lambert who was the incumbent at the time the main church was built. The hall has beautiful wooden arches and pillars throughout and most of the features are original (with some upgrades!).
Lambert Hall has its own entrance and access to toilets and a full functioning kitchen. It also has a stage with curtains and stage lighting. The hall could be used for parties, wedding receptions, performances, art exhibitions or for local businesses and groups to name a few. Due to its ceiling height of around 25ft, it can also hold a bouncy castle for children's parties!
